Lakmahal Community Library is committed to developing a common public space that cultivates creativity and inspires diverse and critical ways of thinking. It provides an array of affordable educational, cultural, and recreational programs, a diverse collection of books, and an area for working and interaction.
We are looking for a Fundraising Executive to help us raise funds to support our work. Working part-time with a hybrid work arrangement, the Fundraising Executive will network with a range of organisations and individuals to raise funds for Lakmahal and enhance its endowment fund. They will be supported by the members of Lakmahal’s Board of Directors and join a dynamic and committed young team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- establish a clear strategy for fundraising
- research, identify, and engage with prospective donors, institutional and individuals
- create strong fundraising messages that appeal to potential donors
- explore and propose online platforms to raise donations
- solicit donations through organising events and other means
- maintain records of donor information
- set and meet targets for raising funds with a view to the final goal
- report to the LCL Board on the progress of the fundraising
- liaise with other members of the LCL team to coordinate fundraising events activities
REQUIREMENTS
- prior experience fundraising for organisations similar to LCL (experience in marketing would be an added advantage)
- excellent communication skills and competency in English and one or both of the national languages
- excellent organisational skills
- the ability to be innovative and creative
