Why should I speak,
When all around
Their own voice share
With spurning flair?

With half a century of knowledge,
But cannot hear for half a minute
Words this half-man tries to forage,
Yet disturbed by what they audit.

Why bother asking? To satisfy?
Perhaps a guilt to justify.
Concern? It does not show
How could it,

When they do not know-

What I must see; Day in, day out
What I must be; Within, without
What I must hold; remaining stout
When all I want to do is scream and shout!
